Wounded soldiers from Fort Hood coming to Lockhart

Tour buses filled with wounded and healing soldiers from Fort Hood will be coming through Lockhart on Friday, May 17 between 11:00 and 11:15am. 

These soldiers represent part of over 600 soldiers from bases throughout the United States who will be arriving by plane, personal vehicles and bus who are participating in Warrior's Weekend, a non-profit organization in Victoria, TX. This year will be Warrior's Weekends 7^th year to bring these American Heroes in to Port O’ Conner, Texas for two days of nonstop activities, bay fishing, fellowship and great food. This is done at no cost to these heroes. No matter how severe the injury, each soldier get the opportunity to fish with some of the finest fishermen who donate their time and boats to this great cause. Please support these men and women as they pass through your town by waving flags, making signs and waving as they go through.
 
They will be arriving at Kreuz Market at approximately 10:45-10:50 am to pick up the motorcycle escort. The Lockhart High School ROTC and band will be present to welcome these heroes.
 
They will leave Kreuz Market through back, right on N. Commerce, right on Flores, then right on Hwy 183 (N. Colorado) and will proceed with police escort down N. Colorado.
