About Us

Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, certified by Medicare and licensed as an acute long-term care hospital providing specialized medical care to acutely ill patients requiring extended recovery time after the acute care hospital stay. Patients are stable enough to transfer but medically complex and often admitted directly out of ICU.

Patients are medically and physically compromised with multi-system complications that require acute hospitalization. The length of stay is determined by each individual patient's needs based on their diagnosis and treatment program. The average length of stay is over 25 days. We participate in a variety of insurance plans with out-of-network plans negotiated on a case-by-case basis. LTACH's are licensed acute care hospitals and utilize acute hospital days. We bridge the gap of services for those who need a continued high level of acute care for a longer length of time. Due to multiple medical issues, our patients require daily physician observation and care, as well as the intense services of an interdisciplinary team.
